JELLY BEANS

At Woodstock, the Grateful Dead appeared to some as a bunch of colorful jelly beans on stage.  Chip Monck's long-throw spotlights shined through their jelly bodies reflecting each different color giving the crowd a sweet taste of psychedelic fun.

GROOVY

I love when the Anniversary of Woodstock falls on the same weekday as the Festival!
Here's the Brain, "Cerebro" as they call him in Brazil, grooving on the field of Max Yasgur. He's a little bit cranky with the delay of bands to start the music, you can tell by his eyes. Pinky is around somewhere frolicking with hippies. I made this sketch for one of the episodes of "Pinky and the Brain" back in the 90's.
This is a special Friday! Happy 45th Anniversary all you Woodstockheads!

Johnny Winter 1944-2014

Johnny Winter, the Texas blues guitarist died in Zurich this Wednesday.  At Woodstock, he took the stage in the early hours of Monday, just before Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
I first saw him play in 1980 at Santa Monica Civic Center, and other several occasions after that in a period of 30 years. Always a great show!!! He was one of the world's finest guitarists.

AGUA

It was Sunday afternoon, right after Joe Cocker's performance, when Mother Nature decided to be part of the Festival taking the stage with a BIG STORM. An unforgettable powerful act, welcomed by some.

CRIMINAL MINDS

My wife and I spent her birthday (Dec 3) on the set of "Criminal Minds" watching our friend Joe Mantegna directing the episode.  It was a great day spent with a bunch of wonderful people...cast, crew, everyone was so kind to us.  Here's my interpretation of what it looked like.

WAITING

Friday afternoon, Tim Hardin is waiting to reach a certain level of courage to go on stage.
